How to get to

It depends on from what settlement you need to get to Vladimir. In any case, the advantage of the city is its proximity to Moscow region.

From Moscow the distance is 185 km and 2.5 hours on the road (if no traffic jams – usually they are on Fridays in the side of Vladimir, on Sundays, in the direction of Moscow on the highway M7 (Gorkovskoye highway).

rzd.ru - you can view the schedule and buy tickets. The quickest way to reach by “Sapsan” or “Lastochka” (1 h.45 min.,) approx. 800-1100 roubles (economy class).The cheapest way-by suburban train (about 3 hours and 350 roubles).

The train station is located almost in the center of the city. You can go up the hill to the main street on foot (to cross the road from the right corner of the train station, and go up), to take a taxi (cheaper to call) or to reach by public transport (trolleybus №5 to downtown, trolleybus №10 and12, and route bus №2 — not to downtown, the stop is just to the right side of the train station).
