Nikolo-Galeyskaya Church

Nikolo-Galeyskaya Church was originally built of wood in the XII century in honor of St. Nicholas. Nicola is the patron Saint of travelling and floating. In 1732 – 1735 years was erected a stone Church on the money of Ivan Pavlygina. The Church is near the former jetty of the river Klyazma, where before were approaching "Haley" ("Haley" were called in ancient times the large rowing boats of the galley type). So the Church got the name Galeyskaya. The interior of the Church was preserved since the mid of the nineteenth century. The monument of architecture of Federal significance.
