MONUMENT TO CHILDREN WHO DIED AND DIED DURING THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR

A monument to children who died during the Great Patriotic War has been opened at the Vladimir Cemetery.
The granite obelisk is a stylized image of the geographical map of the USSR in 1945 with the prints of children's hands - in memory of the children who died during the Great Patriotic War from hunger and cold, shelling and bombing. This is the only such monument in Russia today. The author of the project was Nikita Yegorov, a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction of the Vladimir State University
